HomeMy WebLinkAbout17964 ORD - 12/07/1983AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $7,561 FOR REHABILITATION OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI GARDEN CENTER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $7,561 from the No. 291 Park Bond Fund for rehabilitation of the Corpus Christi Garden Center, rehabilitation to include re -designing of an existing wall, replacement of an air conditioning unit, and installation of windows. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate need to appropriate the aforementioned amount at the earliest practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 7th day of December, 1983.
