HomeMy WebLinkAbout17974 ORD - 12/07/1983AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF 1889 GROUP BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO A PORTION OUT OF TRACT 4, McINTYRE PORTION OUT OF THE MARIANO LOPEZ DE HERRERA GRANT, ABSTRACT NO. 606, FROM "F -R" FARM -RURAL DISTRICT TO "B-4" GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of 1889 Group for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday, December 7, 1983, at Regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning on a portion out of Tract 4, McIntyre Portion out of the Mariano Lopez De Herrera Grant, Abstract No. 606, as described by metes and bounds below, situated in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be changed from "F -R" Farm -Rural District to "B-4" General Business District. DESCRIPTION of a portion of Tract 4, McIntyre Partition out of the Mariano Lopez de Herrera Grant, Abstract No. 606, as described in deed recorded in County Clerk's File No. 17762, on November 20, 1924, in the Deed Records, Nueces County, Texas, and being described as follows: BEGINNING at the Farm -to -Market Road line of the City of THENCE, N 84°04'34" 829.78 feet to the tract; intersection of the centerline of No. 1889 and the southern city limits Corpus Christi, Texas; W, along said southern city limits line, most southerly southwest corner of this. p281984 17974, MICROFILMED THENCE, N 5°55'26" E, 40.04 feet to an interior corner of this tract; THENCE, N 84°04'34" W, 632.57 feet to the westerly city limits line, of the City of Corpus Christi, for the southwest corner of this tract; THENCE, N 0°14'59" E, along said westerly city limits line, 355.07 feet to a point on a curve and the proposed centerline of Farm -to -Market Road No. 624; THENCE, in an easterly direction along the centerline of Farm -to -Market Road 624, the arc of said curve to the left having a radius of 5,729.58 feet, a central angle of 1°02'23", a distance of 103.96 feet to the end of said curve; THENCE, S 86°38'12" E, continuing along said centerline, 497.17 feet to the beginning of a curve to the right; THENCE, along the centerline of Farm -to -Market Road 624 and the arc of said curve to the right, having a radius of 5,729.58 feet, a central angle of 2°33'38", a distance of 256.05 feet to the end of said curve; THENCE S 84°04'34" E, continuing along said centerline, 670.96 feet to the intersection with the centerline of Farm -to -Market Road 1889; THENCE, S 9°58'02" W, along the centerline of Farm -to -Market Road 1889, 426.06 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Containing 13.73 acres, more or less. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1973, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6.
