REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 17366 APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
ON THE 17TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1982, WHICH GRANTED A SPECIAL
COUNCIL PERMIT FOR A PARKING GARAGE ON LOTS 6 THROUGH 22,
BLOCK 6, DEL MAR SUBDIVISION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS on November 17, 1982, the City Council of the City of Corpus
Christi by Ordinance No. 17366 granted a Special Council Permit for a parking
garage on Lots 6 through 22, Block 6, Del Mar Subdivision;
WHEREAS, the applicant has requested that this Special Council Permit
be repealed, said request having been considered by the Planning Commission of
the City of Corpus Christi by hearing therefor on January 3, 1984, at which time
said Planning Commission recommended approval of such request;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 17366, approved on the 17th day of
November, 1982, by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi which granted
a Special Council Permit for a parking garage on Lots 6 through 22, Block 6, Del
Mar Subdivision, be repealed in its entirety.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by repealing the aforementioned Special
Council Permit, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or
resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall
take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 25th day of
January, 1984.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
