HomeMy WebLinkAbout18089 ORD - 02/14/1984AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $67,190 OUT OF THE NO. 102 GENERAL FUND, UNAPPROPRIATED FUND BALANCE, FOR ESTIMATED COSTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF $12,500,000 GENERAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS ON MARCH 28, 1984; APPOINTING THE LAW FIRM OF McCALL, PARKHURST AND HORTON AS BOND ATTORNEY AND M.E. ALLISON AND COMPANY AS FINANCIAL ADVISOR; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 102 General Fund, Unappropriated Fund Balance, for estimated costs in connection with the sale of $12,500,000 General Improvement Bonds on March 28, 1984, including bond attorney and financial advisory services, printing of bonds and official statements, bond rating services fees, and related expenses with reimbursement to be made to the 102 General Fund out of the proceeds of the sale. SECTION 2. That the law firm of McCall, Parkhurst and Horton is hereby appointed as bond attorney, and that M.E. Allison and Company is hereby appointed as financial advisor. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency in order to appropriate funds for the efficient payment of costs of the above described bond sale, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this 15th day of February, 1984.
