HomeMy WebLinkAbout18109 ORD - 03/07/1984AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $215,000 FOR REMAINING ARCHITECTURAL FEES, DEMOLITION AND ADDITIONAL ENGINEERING, PRINTING AND INCIDENTAL EXPENSES FOR THE CENTRAL LIBRARY PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $215,000 from the No. 269 Library Bond Fund of which $200,200 is for remaining architectural fees, $3,000 for demolition, and $11,800 for additional engineering, printing and incidental expenses applicable to Project No. 269-82-1, Central Library. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the necessity of appropriating the sums hereinabove described at the earliest practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this 7th day of March, 1984.
