CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT ONE-HALF OF DOSS STREET ADJACENT
TO LOT 1, BLOCK 3, BRENNAN ADDITION; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
REPLAT OF SAID PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for holding a hearing concerning
the closing of that ane -half of Doss Street adjacent to Lot 1, Block 3, Brennan
Addition, Nueces County, Texas, was given by publication and mailed to the last
known addresses of the owners of property abutting the public way and within 450
feet of the area proposed to be closed, and thereafter, pursuant to said notice,
public hearing was held at Regular Council Meeting by the City Council of the
City of Corpus Christi on March 21, 1984, in accordance with the provisions of
the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council after such hearing that
the aforesaid portions of right-of-way, proposed to be closed, are not needed
now, nor will they be within the foreseeable future needed as public rights of
way, and that the same should revert to the abutting property owners, subject to
certain specified conditions:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby closed and abandoned that one-half of
Doss Street adjacent to Lot 1, Block 3, Brennan Addition, of Nueces County,
Texas, as described by metes and bounds attached hereto and made a part hereof,
marked Exhibit "A", providing that applicant replat all property affected
thereby.

described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point being at a point being the southwest corner of Lot 1,
Block 3, Brennan Addition and being the intersection of the north right-of-way
of 28 foot wide Brennan Street and the easterly right-of-way of 60 foot wide
Doss Street for the point of beginning of this tract;
THENCE in a westerly direction along the arc of a circular curve to the right
whose central angle equals 31°19'04", radius equals 20.00 feet, tangent equals
5.61 feet, a distance of 10.93 feet to a point of reverse curvature;
THENCE along the arc of a circular curve to the left whose central angle
equals 25°51'32", radius equals 40.00 feet, tangent equals 9.18 feet, a
distance of 18.05 feet to a point;
THENCE North 17°04'25" East 58.67 feet to a point for the north corner of this
tract;
THENCE South 88°24' East 11.72 feet to a point being the northwest corner of
said Lot 1;
THENCE South 1°35' West along the west lot line of said Lot 1, 65.09 feet to
the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 0.028 acres, more or less.
