HomeMy WebLinkAbout18178 ORD - 04/11/1984AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF ROBERT ASHLOCK BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO A PORTION OUT OF TRACT 2, WALDRON SUBDIVISION ANNEX FROM "T -1B" MOBILE HOME PARK DISTRICT TO "T -1C" MOBILE HOME SUBDIVISION DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of Robert Ashlock for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday, April 11, 1984, at Regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning on a portion of Tract 2, Waldron Subdivision Annex, as described by metes and bounds below, situated in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be changed from "T -1B" Mobile Home Park District to "T -1C" Mobile Home Subdivision District. FIELDNOTE description of the South 2.022 acres, more or less, of Waldron Subdivision Annex - Tract No. 2 as shown on plat recorded in Volume 36, Page 22, of the Nueces County Map Records an being mare particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: COMMENCING at the Southeast corner of said Waldron Subdivision Annex - Tract No. 2 for the POINT OF BEGINNING; the Southeast corner of this tract; THENCE, N 61°00' W, with the South boundary of said Waldron Subdivision Annex - Tract No. 2 and with the North boundary of Lot 28, Section 49 of the Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts as shown on plat recorded in Volume A, Pages 41-43 of the Nueces County Map Records, a distance of 181"8 660.00 feet to a point for the Southwest corner of this tract; THENCE, N 29°00' E, with the West boundary of said Waldron Subdivision Annex - Tract No. 2, a distance of 135.00 feet to a point for the Northwest corner of this tract; THENCE, S 61°00' E, parallel with the South boundary of said Waldron Subdivision Annex - Tract No. 2, a distance of 610.00 feet to the West line of a 50 foot dedicated street known as Ester Drive; THENCE, S 29°00' W, with the West line of said Ester Drive, a distance of 20.00 feet for a corner; THENCE, S 61°00' E, with the South line of the dedicated street known as Ester Drive, a distance of 50.00 feet for a corner; THENCE, S 29°00' W, with the East boundary of said Waldron Subdivision Annex - Tract No. 2, a distance of 115.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 2.022 acres, more or less. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1973, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take a fect upon first ring as an emergency measure this the //_ day of flr:0 ,19.
