HomeMy WebLinkAbout18181 ORD - 04/11/1984AN ORDINANCE AMENDING NEXEDTHE ZONINTERRITORY, BYDINANCE ADDING BY TO�SECT ON ARTICLE 31-5 SUBSECTION1, 31-5.68, SETTING FORTH ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF SAID AREA OF LAND -RSCRIBED AS A PORTION OUT OF LOT 8, ECTION 14, BOHEMIAN COLONY LANDS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwardedication toothe theGrCi tand Council itss reports and recommendations concerning the app for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday, April 11, 1984, at Regular Citycof CorpusgChof the ri Christi; and the City Council Council in the Council furtherCfidsrat as follows all in the (1) That the Planning Commission of the City of Corpus Christi has found the proposed change in zoning is in the public interest and within the purpose of the zoning ordinance; and, that permanent zoning of "I-2" on a portion out of Lot 8, Section 14, Bohemian Colony Lands, Nueces County, Texas, more fully described hereinafter, be granted; (2) That the agreement for the contractual annexation of the land described aidiland tby they CityoCouncil, anddoes thatnot contain heren toof su such contract condition io tans no reference to zoning; (3) That the permanent zoning as hereinabove set forth be granted to the aforesaid described and hereinafter more fully described parcels or tracts of land; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the Cty Council tt to he hereinter set forth serve ipublic healthr,a necessity oand ve tconvenience amendments would and the general welfareofthe City and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That there is hereby amended Article 5 68 to1ofreae Zoning Ordinance, Section 31-5, by adding a new subsection, as follows, such zoning classification of the,h�e�rrtnafter described properties to be effective upon annexation: SJ ISM "Section 31-5.68. The following described tracts of land shall be zoned and classified as follows: "I-2" Light Industrial District on the following more particularly described tract: BEING 49.63 acres of land, more or less, out tf ofwLot 8, Section 14, Bohemian Colony Lands, a plat recorded in Volume A, Page 48, Map Records of Nueces County, Texas, and said oewsng more particularly describedbymetes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the west corner of this 49.63 acre tract, said corner being on the boundary line between said Lot 8 and Lot 7, Section 14, Bohemian Colony Lands, and said corner bearng 20.00 the west corner of saidiLot S8, Section 14�, Bohemian Colony from ColonyLands the same being the north corner of Lot 7, Section 14, Bohemian Colony Lands; THENCE N 28°5the 8'00"northwest boundary h is tract and running perpendicularly fetsoutheastof and parallel to the centerline of Greenwood Drive; said centerline also being the northwest boundary of said Lot 8, Section 14, Bohemian Colony Lands, 1160.00 feet to a corner of this tract; THENCE S 87°59'52" E, 224.38 feet, to a corner of this tract, said corner being on the southwest right-of-way line of State Highway 357, also known as Saratoga Boulevard, and said corner being perpendicularly 60.00 feet southwest of the centerline of said State Highway THENCE S heast arY of this tract, the lsame 0being tthe nsouthwest the tR.O W. line off Saratoga Boulevard, and running perpendicularly 60.00 feet southwest of feetr,dtoathelel to the east cornereofesaideof 49.63aid acreBoulevard, 1524.30 tract; THENCE leaving said R.O.W. line S 29°00'00" W, along the southeast boundary of this tract, 1260.00 feet, to the south corner of this d e line between said Lot tract, Locorner and t, Sectioh boundary 14,tBohemion anColony Lands; THENCE N 61°32'00" W, along the southwest boundary line of said 49.63 acre tract, the same being the common boundary line between Lot 7 and Lot 8, Section 14, Bohemian Colony Lands, containing 23.53 49.63 acres oof landto F,emoreioint of beginning and or less, SECTION 3.
