AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE CITY CODE SECTION 12-75 TO PROVIDE FOR PERMITS
FOR IN -WATER HULL CLEANING SERVICES IN THE MARINA; AND
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That Chapter 12, Boats, Bays and Waterways, of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, as amended, be amended by
adding after the end of Section 12-75 the following provision:
It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the
business of offering or providing hull cleaning services on
boats in the waters of the of the Corpus Christi Marina
unless such person has first secured a permit from the city
as provided in this ordinance. As a condition to the
granting of such a permit, proof of adequate liability
insurance as determined by the City shall be required, and
any such other conditions or obligations which the City
deems reasonably necessary for the protection of public
safety and the waters of the Marina. The fee charged for an
in -water hull cleaning permit issued hereunder shall be ten
dollars ($10.00) per boat.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its
publication one time in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi,
which publication shall contain the caption stating in summary the purpose of
the ordinance.
