HomeMy WebLinkAbout18221 ORD - 05/09/1984AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $494,225 FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCEL 3 OF THE CITY HALL SITE PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $494,225 out of the City Hall Bond Fund, Project Number 210-83-1, for the acquisition of Parcel 3 of the City Hall Site Project, said parcel being described by metes and bounds description which is attached hereto as Exhibit A. Section 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by appropriating the funds necessary for the acquisition of the abovementioned parcel of land at the earliest practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 9th day of May, 1984.
