HomeMy WebLinkAbout18249 ORD - 05/23/1984AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF TOGAVILLE ACRES, INC., BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO PORTIONS OUT OF LOT 1, WOMACK FARM LOTS AND TRACT 7, W. J. ROBERTSON FARM TRACTS FROM "T -1C" MOBILE HOME SUBDIVISION DISTRICT TO "T -1B" MOBILE HOME PARK DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of Togaville Acres, Inc., for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Wednesday, May 23, 1984, at Regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning on portions out of Lot 1, Womack Farm Lots and Tract 7, W. J. Robertson Farm Tracts, as described by metes and bounds below, situated in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be changed from "T -1C" Mobile Home Subdivision District to "T -1B" Mobile Home Park District: FIELDNOTE DESCRIPTION: Portion of Lot 1, Womack Farm Lots (Volume A, Page 50, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas) and portion of Tract 7, W. J. Robertson Farm Tracts, (Volume 3, Page 40, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas) described as follows: BEGINNING at a one (1) inch pipe, the common southeasterly corner of said Lot 1, Womack Farm Lots and the northeasterly corner of said Tract 7, W. J. Robertson Farm Tracts, said point being in ,the centerline of County Road No. 37, and the southeast corner of the 40.327 acre tract being described: 18249 SEP '48 1984 THENCE, S 29°06'16" E, 579.29 feet along and with the centerline of said County Road to a point for the southwest corner of this Tract; THENCE, N 84°23'39" W, 125.40 feet; N 60°53'44" W, 464.76 feet; N 53°19'29" W, 433.03 feet; S 45°17'51" W, 113.73 feet; N 61°11'47" W, 174.85 feet; N 44°41'07" W, 948.94 feet; and then N 16°46'54" E, 165.20 feet to a point for the northwest corner of this Tract; THENCE, N 61°34'41" E, 335.93 feet; N 55°43'56" E, 402.04 feet; and then N 49°39'46" E, 131.38 feet to a point in the east line of said Lot 1 to a point for the northeast corner of the Tract; THENCE, along and with the east line of said Lot 1, S 44°42009" E, 1827.87 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, containing 40.327 acres of land, more or less. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1973, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is pa ed nd shall take'\Affect upon first e7ading as an emergency measure this thej3rd� day of ATTEST: City ecretary MAYO APPROVED: 3d DAY OF MAY, 1984 J.
