AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY BY SPECIAL WARRANTY
DEED TO CALVIN F. BRIGHT, LOT 12, BLOCK 13, NAVAL CENTER
SUBDIVISION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, •
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to convey by
special warranty deed to Calvin F. Bright, Lot 12, Block 13, Naval Center
Subdivision in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, for a cash
consideration of $2,525.05, all as more fully set forth in the special warranty
deed, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof,
marked Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs by authorizing the
abovementioned special warranty deed at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency. is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon
first reading as an emergency measure this the 24th day of July, 1984.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI herein-
after called G RANT 0 R, for and in consideration of the
sum of Two thousand Five hundred Twenty-five Dollars and five
cents ($2,525.05) to Grantor in hand paid by
Mr. Calvin F. Bright,
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and for which no
lien is retained, either expressed or implied, has this day
sold, and by these .presents does GRAN T,
BARGAIN, SELL and CONVEY unto the said
Mr. Calvin F. Bright,
all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being
situated in the County of Nueces, State of Texas, more par-
ticularly described as follows to -wit:
Lot twelve (12), Block Thirteen
(13), Naval Center Subdivision
in the City of Corpus Christi,
Nueces County, Texas, as shown
by map or plat thereof recorded
in Volume 1339, Page 394, of
the Map Records, Nueces County,
Texas.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises herein con-
veyed, together with all and singular the rights and appur-
tenances thereto in anywise belonging to the said
Mr. Calvin F. Bright,
his (her) (their) heirs and assigns, forever, and G R A N T O R
does hereby bind itself, its successors and assigns, to warrant
and forever defend all and singular the said premises herein
conveyed against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or
to claim the same or any part thereof, by, through, or under
G RANT 0 R, but not otherwise.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
