AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 36, SO AS TO
INCREASE RECREATION FEES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 36 of the Code of Ordinances, as amended be
amended to as to increase certain recreation fees as follows:
"Section 36-5. Tennis Courts Rates Schedule:
The rates to be charged as fees for the use of the tennis courts at
the H. E. Butt Tennis Center and the tennis courts at South Bluff Park to be
paid by all users of those city recreational facilities shall be as prescribed
in the following schedule:
Annual Permits - (Unlimited play except as provided below)
Adults (all individuals except college students
and school children) $ 70.00
College Students 40.00
School Children (up through high school grades) 30.00
Family Rate (including husband and wife and all
children 18 years of age and under) 120.00
Semi -Annual (six months) Permits - (Unlimited play
except as provided below)
Adults (all individuals except college students
and school children) $ 35.00
College Students 20.00
School Children (up through high school grades) 15.00
Family Rates (including husband and wife and all
children 18 years of age or under) 60.00
Sumner (three months) Permit - (Unlimited play except
as provided below)
College Students (June, July, and August) 15.00
Daily Fee
For each 1 and hour or fraction thereof session,
per individual, non -permit 1.50

Evening Court Fee After 6 ..m. (7 p.m. when daylight
savings time is in effect)
For each 1 and # hour or fraction thereof session,
per individual $ 2.00
Permit holder .75
All others 2.00
All permit cards issued shall bear the notation: 'Use of the tennis
courts is permitted only during the hours when the courts are open for public
use and then subject to prior reservation or use.'
All permit cards purchased shall be valid at both H. E. Butt Tennis
Center and South Bluff Park.
The above and foregoing rates shall be paid by all individuals using
tennis courts at H. E. Butt Tennis Center or South Bluff Park. Any use of said
tennis courts without payment of the applicable fee shall be deemed a violation
of this code."
"Section 36-7. Swimming Pool rates schedule:
The rates to be charged as fees for the use of City owned and operated
swimming pools to be paid by all users of those City recreational facilities
shall be prescribed in the following schedule:
Daily Admission Fees (at all pools):
Child (age 12 and younger) $ .75
Teenager (ages 13 through 17) .75
Adult (ages 18 through 64) 1.00
Senior Citizen (age 65 and over) .75
Full Season (May 1 through Labor Day) Swim Pass:
Child
Teenager
Adult
Senior Citizen
Family (Minimum of four family members)
Splash Party Fees (for two hours):
Parties requiring two lifeguards
Parties requiring three lifeguards
Parties requiring four lifeguards
Parties requiring five lifeguards

"Section 36-8. Athletic League Team Fees:
(A) The rates to be charged as fees for the participation in
city -sponsored league play shall be as prescribed in the following schedule:
Entrance fees per team for league play:
Spring season softball $ 150.00
Summer season softball 150.00
Fall season softball 150.00
Flag football 185.00
Basket ball 250.00
Volleyball 125.00
Soccer, all season 185.00
Entrance fees per team for tournament play:
Softball up to . .$ 100.00
(B) A rate of $5 per one-hour session per team is to be charged to
each team utilizing a City -owned or operated softball field for softball
practice."
"Section 36-8.1 Summer Recreation Program Registration Fees:
The fees to be charged to all participants involved in the City Summer
Recreation Program shall be as prescribed in the following schedule:
Summer Program Registration Fees
Per child $ 10.00
Any special events or field trips the participant desires to attend
may require an additional fee."
SECTION 2. Publication shall be made one time in the official
publication of the City of Corpus Christi, by publishing the caption of this
ordinance, stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance.
