HomeMy WebLinkAbout18356 ORD - 07/24/1984 (2)TEXAS: ^4 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A ONE YEAR LEASE RENEWAL WITH FAA FOR THE USE OF AIRPORT LAND FOR THE INSTALLATION'OF RUNWAY VISUAL RANGE EQUIPMENT AT RUNWAY 13-31 AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO RENEW THE LEASE ANNUALLY FOR A PERIOD OF FOUR YEARS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to execute a one-year lease renewal with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the installation of Runway Visual Range equipment at Runway 13-31, a copy of which agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof marked Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. Box 9277, Corpus Christi, Texas, WITNESSETH, That: WHEREAS, on the 27th day of June 1980, the parties hereunto entered into License No. DOT-FA78SW-1073, as amended by Supplemental Agreement No. 1, dated August 22, 1981, for the purposes and considerations stated in said license; and WHEREAS, certain Weather Bureau equipment, more specifically, the Runway Visual Range (RVR), was transferred to the FAA, but was not documented by FAA to cover land sites, and WHEREAS, the Government desires to document the land site upon which the RVR is located (Runway 13) and, in addition, relocate one tower of the RVR system (thus reducing the base line), establish a four (4) foot wide, four (4) inch thick walkway between towers, and necessary cable easements as more particularly shown (accentuated in yellow) on FAA Drawing SW -D-10227, dated May 7, 1984, attached hereto and made a part hereof. WHEREAS, the parties hereto find it to their mutual benefit and advantage to further amend said license, as amended, for the purposes stated above. NOW, THEREFORE, effective July 15, 1984, the parties hereto agree to amend said license in the following particulars only, VIZ.: The Licensor agrees to provide the land site for the RVR and, in addition, a land site to relocate one tower, a four (4) foot wide walkway between towers, and necessary cable easements as more particularly shown (accentuated in yellow) on Drawing No. SW -D-10227, dated May 4, 1984, attached hereto and made a part hereof. Ex -.'.4" 2 ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS of the license, as amended, are hereby ratified and except as amended herein shall remain the same.
