APPROPRIATING $8,045.44 FOR COMPLETION OF EXHIBIT SPACE IN
THE NORTH WING, FOR REIMBURSEMENT TO THE CORPUS CHRISTI
MUSEUM BUDGET TO PROVIDE FOR CONTINUATION OF THE
TEMPORARY ASSOCIATE CURATOR POSITION, AND TO COMPLETE
ILLUSTRATIVE ART WORK IN EXHIBITS AND EXHIBIT AREA; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $8,045.44 out of the
No. 263 Museum Bond Fund for Project No. 263-77-1, Corpus Christi Museum,
completion of exhibit space in the north wing, for reimbursement to the Corpus
Christi Museum budget to provide for continuation of the temporary Associate
Curator position from August 1, 1984 through November 25, 1984, to complete
illustrative art work in exhibits and exhibit area.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the immediate
need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by
appropriating the abovementioned funds at the earliest possible date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the
Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at
three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect
upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 31st day of July, 1984.

or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
