AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT TO SMITH TRACT ASSOCIATES FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF APPROXIMATELY 2,460 LINEAR FEET OF 20 INCH
WATER GRID MAIN; APPROPRIATING $85,108.68; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That there is hereby authorized a reimbursement to Smith
Tract Associates, A Partnership, owner and developer of Bent Tree Unit 1
Subdivision, for the installation of approximately 2,460 linear feet of 20 -inch
water grid main as shown in Exhibit "A", a copy of which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof, and as authorized in Ordinance No. 17092.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $85,108.68 from the
No. 143-246.95 Water Grid and Arterial Transmission Main Trust Fund.
Section 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take
immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the
construction of public improvements, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance
is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this
the 31st day of July, 1984.

or at the present meeting of the City Council.
