HomeMy WebLinkAbout18402 RES - 08/14/1984A RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the current drought has indicated the need for alternative water supply sources for Corpus Christi and its customers; and WHEREAS, an ad hoc Water Commission composed of citizens is currently studying the short and long term options with staff; and WHEREAS, based on data from other cities and engineering studies, any alternatives of consequence whether they be desalting/water reuse or pipelines are going to involve the expenditure of large sums of money in the range of 50 to 100 million dollars: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: That it goes on record supporting expenditures for this purpose and stands ready to take the necessary steps to fund such projects. Be it further resolved that the City Council stands ready to make these interim expenditures necessary to supplement our current supply. ATTEST: APPROVED: /.9. DAY OF AUGUST, 1984 J.
