AMENDING THE MASTER PLAN FOR STORM DRAINAGE FOR THE AREA
SOUTH AND WEST OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AS PREPARED BY
BLUCHER AND NAISMITH ENGINEERS, INC. AND ADOPTED BY
RESOLUTION NO. 70721, RELATING TO PLATES 32 AND 35 OF SAID
PLAN BY MODIFYING THE DRAINAGE AREAS AND THE LOCATION OF THE
DRAINAGE OUTFALLS IN THE AREA GENERALLY BOUNDED BY STAPLES
STREET, YORKTOWN BOULEVARD, CIMARRON BOULEVARD (COUNTY ROAD
NO. 13), AND OSO CREEK; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Master Plan for storm drainage for the area south
and west of the City of Corpus Christi as prepared by Blucher and Naismith
Engineers, Inc. and adopted by Resolution No. 70721, relating to Plates 32 and
35 of said plan be amended by modifying the drainage areas and the location of
the drainage outfalls in the area generally bounded by Staples Street, Yorktown
Boulevard, Cimarron Boulevard (County Road No. 13), and Oso Creek as shown on
the attached Exhibit "A".
Section 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take
immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the
construction of public improvements, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance
is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this
the 14th day of August, 1984.

and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
