APPROPRIATING $45,000 FOR THE PURCHASE OF A MANAGEMENT
INFORMATION- SYSTEM AS PROVIDED FOR IN UMTA CAPITAL GRANT
PROJECT TX -05-0073-01; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $45,000 from
the No. 218 Transit Bond Fund for Project No. 218-77-2, Transit System Capital
Improvements (1981), for the purpose of acquiring a Management Information
System, as provided in UMTA Capital Grant Project No. TX -05-0073-01.
SECTION 2. That approval be granted to solicit proposals for
Management Information System.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the necessity of
appropriating the sum hereinabove described at the earliest practicable date,
such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the
Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at
three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect
upon first reading as an emergency measure this 21st day of August, 1984.

or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule

and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
