Home My WebLink About18422 ORD - 08/21/1984AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 53-252, SCHEDULE III - PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES ON CERTAIN STREETS, AND 53-253, SCHEDULE IV - STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING DURING CERTAIN HOURS ON CERTAIN STREETS, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BY DELETING AND ADDING DIFFERENT STREET SECTIONS TO THE SCHEDULES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 53-252, Schedule III - Parking Prohibited at All Times on Certain Streets, of the Code of Ordinances be amended by adding the following: Parking amended S. Padre Island Drive (S. H. 358), Eastbound, south side only, between a point 300 feet west of Stone Street and Naval Air Station Drive. S. Padre Island Drive (S.H. 358), Westbound, north side only, between Old Brownsville Road and a point 500 feet west of Investment Boulevard. S. Padre Island Drive (S.H. 358), Eastbound, south side only, between Flour Bluff Drive and a point 500 feet east of Flour Bluff Drive. Violet Road (F.M. 24), both sides, between Leopard Street and the Interstate 37 South Frontage Road. Carroll Lane: a. East side, between the S.H. 358 South Frontage Road and a point 500 feet south of the S.H. 358 South Frontage Road. b. East side, between the S.H. 358 North Frontage Road and a point 100 feet north of the S.H. 358 North Frontage Road. c. West side, between the S.H. 358 North Frontage Road and a point 200 feet north of the S.H. 358 North Frontage Road. West Shoreline Boulevard, west side only, between Taylor Street and Starr Street. Morgan Avenue, both sides between 7th Street and S. Alameda Street. SECTION 2. That Section 53-253, Schedule IV - Stopping, Standing or During Certain Hours on Certain Streets, of the Code of Ordinances be by adding the following sections: 18422 SEP 2 81984 MLG OFILMED Name of Street Chaparral Street, west side only, between a point 100 feet south of Coopers Alley and a point 300 feet south of Coopers Alley. and by deleting the following sections: Name of Street Morgan Avenue, north side, between Ocean Drive and Nineteenth Street. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction; it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its publication one time in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi, which publication shall contain the caption stating in summary the purpose of the ordinance.
