CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT 235 FOOT LONG PORTION OF 50 FOOT
WIDE ROBBY DRIVE; RETAINING A 10 FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT
ALONG THE EASTERN BOUNDARY; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REPLAT OF
SAID PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for holding a hearing concerning
the closing of that 235 foot long portion of 50 foot wide Robby Drive, as shown
by plat of Lot 1, Block 17, Highway Village Unit 3 in Volume 13, Page 24, Map
Records, Nueces County, Texas, was given by publication and mailed to the last
known addresses of the owners of property abutting the public way and within 450
feet of the area proposed to be closed, and thereafter, pursuant to said notice,
public hearing was held at Regular Council Meeting by the City Council of the
City of Corpus Christi on August 7, 1984, in accordance with the provisions of
the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council after such hearing that
the aforesaid portion of right-of-way, proposed to be closed, are not needed
now, nor will they be within the foreseeable future needed as public rights of
way, and that the same should revert to the abutting property owners, subject to
certain specified conditions:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby closed and abandoned that 235 foot
long portion of 50 foot wide Robby Drive, as shown by plat of Lot 1, Block 17,
Highway Village Unit 3 in Volume 13, Page 24, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas,
and by the metes and bounds which are attached hereto and made a part hereof,
marked Exhibit "A", providing for replatting at applicants expense, and
retaining a 10 foot wide utility easement along the eastern boundary.

FIELDNOTES for the closing of the East one-half of Robby Drive (shown as
Robb Drive on the recorded plat of Highway Village Section 3, a map of which
is recorded in Volume 13, Page 24, Map Records of Nueces County, Texas) adjacent
to Lot 1, Block 17, said Highway Village Section 3:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the South boundary line of Kingsbury Drive
with the East boundary line of Robby Drive for the Northwest corner of said
Lot 1 and for the Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE South, along said East boundary line, same being the West boundary
line of said Lot 1, 235.00 feet for the Southwest corner of said Lot 1 and
for the Southeast corner of this tract;
THENCE West, along the South subdivision line of said Highway Village
Section 3, a distance of 25.00 feet for the Southwest subdivision corner of
said Highway Village Section 3 and for the Southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE North, along the centerline of Robby Drive, same being the West
subdivision line of said Highway Village Section 3, a distance of 235.00 feet
for the Northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE, leaving said West subdivision line, East 25.00 feet for the
POINT OF BEGINNING.
