HomeMy WebLinkAbout18435 ORD - 08/28/1984TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT TO E. H. MOORE AND J. R. EWING FOR INSTALLATION OF APPROXIMATELY 4,191 LINEAR FEET OF 12 -INCH DIAMETER WATER GRID MAIN; APPROPRIATING $81,256.42; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That there is hereby authorized a reimbursement to E. H. Moore and J. R. Ewing, owner and developer of Weber's Glen Subdivision (formerly Breckenridge 6), for installation of approximately 4,191 linear feet of 12 -inch diameter water grid main as authorized in Ordinance No. 17092. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $81,256.42 from the No. 143-246.95 Water Grid and Arterial Transmission Main Trust Fund. Section 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the construction of public improvements, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 28th day of August, 1984.
