HomeMy WebLinkAbout18467 ORD - 09/18/1984AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $30,000 FROM THE 9TH YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FOR THE ENGINEERING AND DESIGN OF STREET IMPROVEMENT FOR FURMAN SCHOOL AREA PHASE III; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $30,000 from the 9th Year Community Development Block Grant for the engineering and design of street improvements for Furman School Area Phase III. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the necessity of appropriating the sums hereinabove described at the earliest practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and •voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this 18th day of September, 1984.
