AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE
ACQUISITION OF PARCELS 24 AND 25 IN CONNECTION WITH THE
PURDUE ROAD STREET IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE II PROJECT;
APPROPRIATING $1,350; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to execute the
documents necessary for the acquisition of Parcels 24 and 25 in connection with
the Purdue Road Street Improvements, Phase II Project, a substantial copy of
which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A."
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $1,350 out of the
No. 220 Street Bond Fund.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take
immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the
purchase of land necessary for the abovementioned project, such finding of an
emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular
meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first
reading as an emergency measure this the 2nd day of October, 1984.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT Lazaro Cruz, Jr., and wife, Mary E. Cruz,
of the County of Nueces, State of Texas, for and in considera-
tion of the sum of One thousand three hundred fifty dollars
and no cents ($1,350.00)
to us in hand paid by the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces
County, Texas, and other good and valuable considerations, the
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have granted and con-
veyed and by these presents do grant and convey unto the City
of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, a municipal corpora-
tion duly incorporated under and by virtue of the laws of the
State of Texas, its successors and legal representatives, the
free and uninterrupted use, liberty, privilege, and easement
of going in, on, over, under and along a certain tract of land
situated in Nueces County, Texas, and being described as
follows:

Being a 10' x 57.5' rectangular tract out of Lot 3, Block 1,
Waldron Subdivision, Volume 13, Page 40, of Nueces County Map
Records, and more completely described as follows:
Beginning on the north corner of said Lot 3;
Thence S. 61° 03' E., 57.5';
Thence S. 29° W., 10' along the east boundary of said Lot 3;
Thence N. 61° 03' W., 57.5' to the west boundary of said Lot
3;
Thence N. 29° E., 10' to the point of beginning and contain-
ing .0132 acres, more or less.

Being an irregularly shaped tract out of and along the
north boundary of Lot 4, Block 1, of Waldron Subdivision,
as recorded in Volume 13, Page 40, of Nueces County Map
Records and more completely described as follows:
Beginning at the north corner of said Lot 4;
Thence S. 61° 03' E., 57.5' to the northeast corner of said
Lot 4;
Thence S. 29° W., 20.01';
Thence northerly, 15.72' along a curve concave to the west,
having an initial bearing of N. 29° E., a radius of 10',
and an internal angle of 90° 03';
Thence N. 61° 03' W., 47.49' to the west boundary of said
Lot 4;
Thence N. 29° E., 10' to the point of beginning and con-
taining about .0137 acres, more or less.

Two maps of which are marked "Exhibits,"A" & "B", and at-

Together with the free ingress, egress, and regress to and
for the City of Corpus Christi, for the purpose of constructing
streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters and appurtenances upon said
tract and way for the public use by foot, with automobiles,
carts, carriages, and all other vehicles and all other means of
transportation necessary or convenient at all times and in all
seasons in, along, and upon said tract and way, as well as for
laying, repairing, servicing, and maintaining of public utility
lines and storm sewers in, on, over, under, and along said
tract or way.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, all and singular, the rights and
privileges aforesaid to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, its
successors and legal representatives and the public, for the
proper use as public streets and utility easements or utility
easements for so long as used for such purposes or any of them,
and if the use for said tract and way for all of said uses be
ever abandoned, then in that event, the aforesaid rights and
privileges shall cease, and all rights herein granted shall
revert to the Grantor herein, his heirs or assigns.
