CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE 25 FOOT WIDE ROAD EASEMENT WITHIN
LOT 7, BLOCK 1, CARROLL PLACE UNIT 7; PROVIDING FOR THE
REPLAT OF SAID PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for holding a hearing concerning
the closing of the 25 foot wide road easement within Lot 7, Block 1, Carroll
Place Unit 7, as shown -by plat in Volume 870, Page 187, Map Records, Nueces
County, Texas, was given by publication and mailed to the last known addresses
of the owners of property abutting the publicway and within 450 feet of the
area proposed to be closed, and thereafter, pursuant to said notice, public
hearing was held at Regular Council Meeting by the City Council of the City of
Corpus Christi on September 11, 1984, in accordance with the provisions of the
City Charter; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council after such hearing that
the aforesaid portion of right-of-way, proposed to be closed, is not needed now,
nor will they be within the foreseeable future needed as public rights of way,
and that the same should revert to the abutting property owners, subject to
certain specified conditions:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby closed and abandoned the 25 foot wide
road easement within Lot 7, Block 1, Carroll Place Unit 7, as shown by plat in
Volume 870, Page 187, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, and described by the
metes and bounds which are attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked
Exhibit "A", providing for replatting at applicants expense.

Being a 25 foot wide Road Easement along the northwest line of Share 7, as
set forth in Partition Deed dated October 24, 1959, and recorded in Volume
870, Page 187 of the Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas, being out of the
southeast 1/2 of Lot 5, Section 2, Bohemian Colony Lands as shown by map
recorded in Book A, Page 48 of the Map Records of Nueces County, Texas, also
being out of Lot 7, Block 1, Carroll Place Unit 7 as recorded in Volume 44,
Page 42, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, said easement being more parti-
cularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
COMMENCING at the south or southeast corner of Lot 5 thence with the south-
east boundary line of Lot 5 North 29° East 60 feet to the northeast right-of-
way line of Holly Road and along said right-of-way line North 61°30' West 503.0
feet to the southeast corner of the tract herein described, and POINT OF BEGINNING;
THENCE continuing with said right-of-way line North 61°30' West 25.0 feet to
the southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE North 29° East 660 feet to a point in the southwest boundary line of
Carrol Place Unit 6 as shown by map filed in Volume 39, Page 27 of said map
records for the northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE 'with said boundary South 61°30' East 25.0 feet to the northeast -corner
of this .tract;
THENCE South 29° West 660 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, containing in all
0.379 acres, more or less.
