HomeMy WebLinkAbout18518 ORD - 10/16/1984„x AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO CENTRAL POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY'S EXISTING TARIFF SCHEDULE TO PROVIDE A NEW RATE FOR HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM VAPOR STREET LIGHTING OF 5800 LUMEN. WHEREAS, on September 25, 1984, the City Council passed a motion calling a public hearing to consider the propriety of Central Power and Light Company's proposed amendment to its existing tariff schedule to provide a new rate for high pressure sodium vapor street lighting of 5800 Lumen; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 2, 1984 at which time evidence was presented clearly and convincingly demonstrating the reasonableness and propriety of the proposed amendment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the existing tariff schedule of Central Power and Light Company as approved in Docket No. 4400 of the Public Utility Commission of Texas as it applies within the City of Corpus Christi, be and hereby amended to provide a new rate for high pressure sodium vapor street lighting of 5800 Lumen as set forth in the attached tariff sheet, attached hereto as Exhibit A. v. 18518 ,.rNTRAL POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY Sheet No. B13(a)-1 Effective: SECTION B: Rate Schedules COMPANY-OWNED STREET LIGHTING.SERVICE RATE - 73 . (CORPUS CHRISTI) AVAILABILITY Available to political subdivisions and eleemosynary institutions for street lighting service on public streets and highways,' in public parks, and upon the grounds of schoolyard or educational institutions not organized for profit by means of Company owned and maintained lamps installed in, (a) overhead fixtures supported by poles in Company's existing distribution system, or (b) added wood poles or ornamental standards conforming to standard specifications and mutually satisfactory to both the Customer and the Company. Lamps may be supplied from either series or multiple systems and from overhead or underground circuit at the option of the Company. Schedule B - Applicable underground service for lamps mounted on wood poles. Schedule C - Applicable to promenade type luminaires mounted on ornamental standards. EX. NTRAL POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY Sheet No. B13(a)-2 Schedule D - Applicable to single lamps mounted on ornamental standards. Schedule E - Applicable to twin lamps mounted on ornamental standards. FUEL COST AND GROSS RECEIPTS FEE ADJUSTMENTS The above rates are subject to the provisions of Sheet No. D1, Section D: Rules and Regulations Governing Electric Service. TERMS AND CONDITIONS Service will be furnished under Company's Rules and Regulations Governing Electric Service, Section D. In addition, the following terms and conditions apply. The Company will furnish to Customer electric energy and street lighting service for the operation from dusk to dawn of street lights served under this tariff provided that the cost of installation of each lamp, including wooden pole mounted brackets or ornamental standards and the required circuit installed by the Company is no more than $150.00 on wooden pole mounted brackets, $300.00 on ornamental standards, and $450.00 in the case of twin lamps mounted on one ornamental standard. Costs of installation in excess of those stated here will be reimbursed to Company by Customer by non-refundable payment and Customer will not acquire any title in to and said facilities by reason of such payment. Company will, upon request of Customer, relocate or change any of its facilities used in rendering service hereunder insofar as it may be practical and permissible, or will render service under any other street lighting service rate offered by the Company provided Customer pays to Company, at the time such change is made or such different street lighting service is rendered, all costs incurred by Company in making the change, including costs of equipment or facilities rendered unusable by reason of the change or facilities or service. If an outage of a street light occurs, Customer shall notify the Company promptly at its nearest office of such outage and Company will be allowed, five days after such outage has been so reported in which to restore the lamp to service. If Company fails to restore any lamp within five days after official notice from Customer of the outage, Customer shall be entitled to a credit for the prorata cost or charge by Company for such lamp for the period of time it remained out subsequent to the report of the outage by Customer.
