HomeMy WebLinkAbout18565 ORD - 11/20/1984AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF WOOLDRIDGE JOINT VENTURE BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO A PORTION OF LAND OUT OF LOT 1, BLOCK 1, AIRLINE SUBDIVISION UNIT 4 FROM "A-2" APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT TO "B-1" NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the C,ty Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of Wooldridge Joint Venture far amendment to the zoning map of the C,ty of Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the C,ty Council of the C,ty of Corpus Christ,, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held an Tuesday, November 20, 1984, at Regular Council meeting of the City Council In the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christ,; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessityconvenience and co n,ence and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED 8Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS S1CTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning on a portion of land out of Lot 1, Block 1, Airline Subdivision Unit 4, as described by metes and bounds below, situated in the City of Corpus Christ,, Nueces County, Texas, be changed from "A-2" Apartment House District to "0-1" Neighborhood Business District: FIELDNOTES for 3.136 acres of land out of Lot 1, Block 1, Airline Subdivision Unit 4, a map of which , carded in Volume 49, Page 109, map records of Nueces County, Texas BEGINNING at a 5/8 inch iron rod set an the Northwest boundary line of Lot 14, Section 19, Flour Bluff and Encinal 10,1500250100,111000.0 map of which Is recorded in Volume A, Pages 41, 42, 43, map records of Nueces County, Texas for the South corner of Lot 17, Block 0, Airline Subdivision No. 2, a map ofwhich is recorded in Volume 13, Page 18, of s id map records and the East corner of said Lot 1, Block 1, Airline Subdivision Unit 4 farthe East corner of this tract; 18865 THENCE South 29°01'30" West, along the Northwest boundary line of said Lot 14, Section 19, a d the Southeast line of aid Unit 4, at 156 82 feet pass the North corner of Villa Flambeau, a map of which is corded in Volume 28, Page 51, of said map records and continuing South 29°01'30" West, along the common boundary line of Lot 1, Block 1, Airline Subdivision Unit 4 and Villa Flambeau, with awre fence found on line, i all a total distance of 380.30 feet to a 5/8 inch iron rod set at the East of a 0.334 acre tract of land conveyed to the City of corner Corpus Christi by Henry L. Tucker and wife Peggy 0. Tucker ana warranty deed dated January 23, 1980, and recorded inVolume 1128, Page 140, deed records of Nueces County, Texas, for the upper South corner of said Lot 1, Black 1 and the upper South corner of this tract; THENCE North 60"58'10" West, along the Northeast boundary line of said 0.344 acre tract and the upper Southwest line of said Lot 1, Block l, 120.00 feet to a 5/8 inch iron rod set at the North corner c of said 0.344 acre tract for a inside corner of said Lot 1, Block 1, and an inside corner of this tract; THENCE South 29°01'30" West, along the Northwest boundary line of said 0.344 acre tract and the upper Southeast line of said Lot 1, Block 1, 125 00 feet to a 5/8 inch iron rod ton the Northeast boundary line of Wooldridge Road for the West corner of said 0.344 acre tract and the lower South corner of said Lot I, Block 1, Airline Subdivision Unit 4 for the lower South corner of this tract, THENCE North 50°58'10" West, along the Northeast boundary line of said Wooldridge Road, s m being the Southwest line of said Lot 1, Black 1, 160.00 feet more or less, to its intersection with the present existing common boundary line of B-1 z ning and A-2 z ning per the 1983 Corpus Christi Zoning Map, page 101-6 for the West corner of this tract, THENCE leaving Wooldridge Road, North 29°01'30" East, along the common boundary zone line of the present B -I zoning and A-2 zoning, 505.43 feet to a paint on the Southwest subdivision line of said Airline Subdivision No. 2, same being the Northeast line of said Lot 1, Block 1, Airline Subdivision Unit 4 and also being the Southwest line of R -1B zoning for the North corner of this tract; THENCE South 60°56'40" East, along the common boundary line of said No. 2 and Unit 4, 300.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1913, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council tubers, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning change, such finding of anemergency made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances o solutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 20th day of November, 1984.
