AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH KING
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF FIVE PARKING
LOTS AT CORPUS CHRISTI BEACH, APPROPRIATING 1257,000, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS
SECTION 1. That the Clty Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with King Construction Company for the construction of five parking
lots at Corpus Christi Beach, all as
me fully set forth in the plans and
specifications and contract documentson file in the office of the City
Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the
bid of King Construction Company, said bid being the lowest and most
advantageous to the Clty of Corpus Christi
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated 9251,000 of which
Block Grant, andis mthe No. 0128,500 i16 from a O7.07-502, Texas Parks Sth Year and Wildlife Grant, allsubjepment

to State approval and availability of grant funds.
SECTION 3 That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take
immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the
construction of public improvements, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance
s passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this
the 29th day of November, 1984.
