AMENDING SECTION 53-254. SCHEDULE V - INCREASE OF STATE
SPEED LIMIT IN CERTAIN ZONES OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES,
PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE, AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1 That Section 53-254, Schedule V - INCREASE OF STATE SPEED
LIMIT IN CERTAIN ZONES, of the Code of Ordinances be amended by adding the
following
Morgan Avenue
From the Crosstoon Expressway (S.H 286) West Frontage
Road t0 Airport Road -- 35 m p.h., 45811 times.
Cimarron Road:
From Saratoga Boulevard (S.H. 350) to Wooldridge Road
-- 35 m.p.h., At all times.
and by deleting the following:
Leopard Street.
From a point 300 feet west of Corn Products Road to a
point 300 feet east of Rand Morgan Road -- 55 m.p.h.,
At all times
and in lieu thereof adding:
Leopard Street:
From a point 300 feet west of Corn Products Road to a
point 300 feet east of Rand Morgan Road -- 50 m.p h..
At all times.
SECTION 2. if for any r as on any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word, or provision ofthis ordinance shall be held invalid o
unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent Jurisdiction, it
shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
word, or provision of this ordinance, far it is the definite intent of this City
Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, o
provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its
publication one time in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi,
which publication shall contain the caption stating in summary the purpose of
the ordinance
