AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF
MR AND MRS. JOHN F. JONES BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN
REFERENCE TO A PORTION OUT OF LOTS 12 AND 13, EBONY ACRES
ADDITION FROM "B-4" GENERAL BUSINESS O15TRICT TO "1-2"
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AM EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council
its reports and recommendations concerning the application of Mr. and
Mrs. John F. Jones for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus
Christi,
WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing
to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council
of the City of Corpus Christi, in cordance with proper notice to the public,
said public hearing having been held on Tuesday, December 18, 1984, at Regular
Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the
City of Corpus Christi, and
WHEREAS, by motion duly rade, seconded and carried, It was decided by

THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi,
Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out
SECTION 2 That the zoning on a portion of Lots 12 and 13, Ebony
Acres Addition, as described by metes and bounds below, situated in the City of
Corpus Chrtstt, Nueces County, Texas, be changed from "B-4" General Business
District to "1-2" Industrial District:

BEGINNING at a point, being the intersection of
south boundary line of Lot 12A and the west right-of-way
line of North Padre Island Drive (Highway 358), as shown in
Ebony Acres Addition, a map recorded in Volume 36. Page 173,
Map Records of Nueces County, Texas for the northeast corner
of this tract and the point of beginning.

THENCE S 04°50" E, with said west right-of-way
line of North Padre Island Drive (Highway 358), a distance
of 58.58 feet, more or less to a point, far a corner of this
tract.
THENCE S 00'57.40" E, with said west right-of-way
line of North Padre Island Drive (Highway 358). a distance
of 84.27 feet, for the southeast corner of this tract
THENCE N 88°33'00" W, with said north boundary
line of Lot 4, Block 6, Lantana Industrial Area, a map of
which is recorded in Volume 30, Page 78, Map Records of
Ponces County, Texas, at 124.13 feet pass a point being the
southwest corner of aforementioned Lot 12 and the southeast
corner of aforementioned Lot 13, in all a distance of 149 13

66, Map Records of Nueces County, Texas, and the southwest
corner of this tract,
THENCE north, leaving the aforementioned southeast
corner of Lot 13A, Ebony Acres, a distance of 143 00 feet,
to 6 20,40 on said south boundary line of aforementioned Lot
12A, Ebony Acres Addition, for the northwest corner of this
tract;
THENCE 5 88°34'50" E, with said south boundary
line of Lot 12A, at a distance of 25.00 feet, pass the
original east line of Lot 13, Ebony Acres Addition, in all a
distance of 149.13 feet, to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, be and the sane is hereby, amended as herein ordained.
SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1973, as amended from time
to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances In conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, t0 find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs bygranting the aforesaid zoning
