AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING SECTION 6-21,
IMPOUNDMENT, BY INCREASING FEE FOR IMPOUNDMENT OF
LIVESTOCK WEIGHING 100 POUNDS AND OVER AND PROVIDING FOR THE
AUCTION OF UNCLAIMED LIVESTOCK.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That the Cade of Ordinances be amended by amending
Section 6-21, Impoundment, paragraph (d) subparagraph (1) to hereinafter read as
follows
"(1) Impoundment fee
a. First impoundment
Animals except livestock 110.00
Livestock weighing less than 100 lbs . . 25.00
Livestock weighing 100 lbs. or more. 50.00
b. Second or subsequent impoundment within the next
twenty-four (24) months. The fee shall be
doubled."
SECTION 2 That the Code of Ordinances be amended by amending Section
6-21, Impoundment paragraph (e) to hereinafter read as follows
"Except as provided to subsection (c), impounded animals not
redeemed by their ormer
within three (3) working days
following impoundment shall become the property of the City
and notices shall be posted at the County Courthouse, City
Hall, and City Animal Pound, and after a ten (10) day
