CHANGING THE NAME OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI GOLF CENTER TO THE
GABE LOZAN0, SR. GOLF CENTER; ANO DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Board, at their December meeting,
voted to accept the recommendation that the nameof the Corpus Christi Golf
Center be changed to theGabe Lozano, Sr. Golf Center,
NHEREAS, the Board voted to forward this re emendation to the City
Council of the City of Corpus Christi for its consideration
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The name of the Corpus Christi Golf Center is hereby
changed to Gabe Lozano, Sr Golf Center in memory or Gabe Lozano, Sr. for his
many years of service to the community
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an mergency due to the desire of
the City Council to make the aforementioned n change at the earliest
practicable date, such finding of a emergency is made and declared requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or
solutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall
take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 2nd day of
January, 1985.
