HomeMy WebLinkAbout18644 ORD - 01/15/1985AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH FERNANDEZ TECHNOLOGY, INC. PROVIDING FOR AN ENERGY AUDIT NECESSARY TO DEVELOP AN ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR THE CONVENTION CENTER, APPROPRIATING 522,500, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to execute an agreement with Fernandez Technology, Inc. providing for an energy audit necessary to develop an energy management system for the Convention Center, a substantial copy of which agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "0." SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $22,500 from the No. 209 Convention Center Bond Fund. SECTION 3. Fernandez Technology, Inc., hereinafter called "EnergY Coneultaek", agree as follows 1. SERVICES TO BE PERFORML the Bayfront Plaza Convention Center and Auditorium at 1901 N. Shoreline Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas. 2. SCOPE OF SERVICES The Scope of Services for this protect, for which the Energy Consultant agrees to perform professional services, is as follows Task 1 - a) Site Survey b) Obtarn, tabulate and evaluate energy usage data. Task 2 - a) Perfo= current energy coaeumption analysis electrical power, fossil fuel, water, etc bl Evaluate building envelope c) Appraise systems, equipment and operatic,. d) Prepare current Energy COnSuoption Analysis Report. Cash 3 - at Identify operation changes to determine which systems can he shut dorm in accordance with daily or seasonal schedules b) Identify energy conservation packages, Including solar and wit. energy applications. TRANSFER OF INTEREST The Energy Consultant shall not assign or transfer any interest in this Contract without prior written consent from the City. 5. ORDERLY RENDERING OP SERVICES The Energy Consultant shall furnish all Items required In Scope of Services and personally render or provide the services required In this Contract n the s s herein indicated an as may be necessary to insure the prompt and continuous that all parts of the work are prosecution jec furnishacceptance of results of these services, there shall be no liability on the part of the City for such services.
