AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND GENE GRAHAM
AND LYNN NOACK FOR THE ANNEXATION OF APPROXIMATELY 60.11
ACRES OF LAND BEING BLOCKS 1 AND 2, PADRE ISLAND -CORPUS
CHRISTI, SECTION 18, NUECE5 COUNTY, TEXAS, FINDING ALL OF
5AI0 LAND TO LIE ENTIRELY WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS,
ADJOINING, CONTIGUOUS, AND ADJACENT THERETO, PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY,
WHEREAS, Gene Graham and Lynn Noack a n fee simple of the
hereinafter particularly described tract or parcel of land adjoining, contiguous
and adjacent to the City of Carpus Christi and wholly within its
extraterritorial jurisdiction, and
WHEREAS, the said owner
is desirous of contracting with the City for
the annexation of said territory tothe City of Corpus Chrlstl; and
WHEREAS, public hearings were duly held an January 7, 1985, and o
January 8, 1985, at the Regular Council meeting of the City Council, following
publication of due notice of said hearing in the official newspaper, pursuant to
Article 970a, 8.7.0.9., Texas, as amended, for the consideration of institution
of proceedings for the
n xation of defined wholly within the
extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Corpus Christi, more
a particularly
described by metes and bounds as hereinafter set forth, at whichall interested
persons were afforded an opportunity to be heard, and by motion duly made,
seconded and carried the said hearing was closed January 8, 1985, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council that the territory
within said tract or parcel of land, now proposed to be annexed, abuts and 1s
contiguous and adjacent to the City of Corpus Christi and constitutes lands and
territories subject to contractual annexation as provided by the City Charter
Article I, Section 20; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be advantageous to the
City and to Its citizens and in the public interest to annex the aforesaid lands
and territory hereinafter described
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS.
SECTION 1. That the CitManager of the City of Corpus Christi is
hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract between the City of Corpus
Christi and Gene Graham and Lynn Noack a true copy of which contract is attached
hereto and by this reference incorporated herein for all purposes, including
exhibits thereto, as though fully set forth herein, for annexation of land and
territory described as follows

FIELONOTES for 60.11 acres of land being all of Blocks 1 and
2, Padre Island -Corpus Christi - Section 18, a map of which
is corded in Volume 38, Page 69 and 70, Map Records of
Nueces County, Texas:
BEGINNING

North 34°28'33" East 1002.22 feet,
THENCE north 61°30'13" East 221.90 feet for the north corner
of this tract,

existing channel same being the northeast boundary lone of
said Block 1, 554 10 feet for a corner of this tract;
THENCE South 53°06'27" East continuing with the
abovementioned shoreline at 380.38 feet pass the north
of the aforementioned Black 2 in all a distance of
420.44 feet for a corner of this tract;
THENCE South 36°30'32" East continuing with said shoreline,
868.34 feet for the east corner of this tract;
THENCE South 68°46'30" West leaving the abovementioned
shoreline, 0318 the common boundary line of said Block 2,
and Nueces County Park No. 2, 1621 43 feet for the north
corner of Block 3 said Padre Island -Corpus Christi
Section 18 for a corner of this tract;
THENCE South 39°58'04" West 400.00 feet to a paint on said
northeast boundary lone of South Padre Island Drive for the
south corner
of this tract and paint of c rvature of a
circular curve to the left whose radius point bears South
39058'04" West 2392.01 feet which has a central angle of
13"56'34", a radius of 2392.01 feet, a tangent distance of
292 01 feet and an arc length of 582 09 feet,
THENCE Northwesterly along said northeast boundary line of
South Padre Island Drive with said circular curve to the
left, 582 09 feet to the point of tangency,
THENCE North 63°58'30. West with the abovementioned
northeast boundary line, 505.47 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING.
SECTION 2 If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid o
unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it
shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word
r provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City
Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or
provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.

This Contract and Agreement made and entered into an duplicate
originals by and between Gene Graham and Lynn Noack hereinafter
called "owners , and the City o£ Corpus Chris Texas, a hone -rule
city or more than 200,000 population, a municipal corporation
and body politic under the laws of the State of Teas, situated
in Nueces County. Texas, hereinafter called 'City,', for good
and valuable consideration in hand received by the parties respectively
and upon the covenants and conditions hereafter stated

The owners are canons in fee simple and of all eirsting rights,
titles and interests therein of all the folloning described property
located in Nneces County, Texas, adjacent to and adjoining the corporate
limits of the City of Corpus Christi, lying wholly within the extyaterrl-
tonal jurisdiction of said city, and in whole or in part, within
three hundred feet (300') of the City's present corporate limits gene/ally
