ANNEXING A 60.11 ACRE TRACT OF LAND OUT OF BLOCKS 1 AND 2,
PADRE ISLAND -CORPUS CHRISTI SECTION 18, OWNED BY GENE GRAHAM
AND LYNN NOACK, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the said ownersare desirous of contracting with the City for
the annexation of said territoryto
the City of Corpus Christi, and
WHEREAS, on January 7, 1985, and January 8, 1985, public hearings were
duly held following publication of due notice of said hearing in the official
newspaper, pursuant to Article 970a, V A C.5., Texas, as mended, for the
consideration of institution of proceedings for the annexation of defined area
wholly within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Corpus Christi,
more particularly described by metes and bounds as hereinafter set forth, at
which all interested persons were
afforded a opportunity to be heard, and by
motion duly made, seconded andcarried the said hearing was closed January 8,
1985; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council that the territory
within said tract or parcel of land, now proposed to be annexed, abuts and is
contiguous and adjacent to the City of Corpus Christi and constitutes lands and
territories subject to contractual annexation as provided by the City Charter
Article I, Section 2c, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be advantageous to the
City and to its citizens and in the public interest to annex the aforesaid lands
and territory hereinafter described

THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

SECTION 1 That the tract or parcel of land as set forth in
Exhibit "0" attached, being a copy of annexation contract between the City of
Corpus Christi and Gene Graham and Lynn Noack, 1s hereby annexed, said parcel or
tract being described asa portion of Blocks 1 and 2,Padre Island -Corpus
Christi Section 18, as described by metes and bounds as follows.
FIELONOTES for 60 11 acres of land being all of Blocks 1 and
2, Padre Island -Corpus Christi - Section 18, a map of which
is corded in Volume 38, Page 69 and 70, Map Pecords of
Nueces County, Texan
BEGINNING ata point on the Northeast boundary line of South
Padre Island Drive (200 00 feet wide, Park Road No 22) for
the west corner of said Block 1 and for the west corner of
this tract,
THENCE along the shoreline of an existing channel also being
the northwest boundary line of said Block 1 bears.

North 10°36'23" East 137 35 feet,
North 34°28'33" East 1002.22 feet,
THENCE north 61°30'13" East 221.90 feet for the north corner
of this tract,
THENCE South 77°46'52" East with said shoreline of the
existing channel same being the northeast boundary line of
said Block 1, 554.10 feet for a corner of this tract;
THENCE South 53°06'27" East continuing with the
abovementioned shoreline at 380 38 feet pass the north
corner of the aforementioned Black 2 in all a distance of
42044 feet fora corner of this tract,
THENCE South 36°30'32" East continuing with said shoreline,
868.34 feet for the east corner of this tract,
THENCE South 68°46'30" West leaving the abovementioned
shoreline, with the common boundary line of said Black 2,
and Nueces County Park No. 2, 1621.43 feet for the north
of Block 3 said Padre Island -Corpus Christi
Section 18 for a corner of this tract,
THENCE South 39°58'04" West 400.00 feet to a point on said
northeast boundary line of South Padre Island Drive for the
south corner
of this tract and point of curvature of a
circular curve to the left whose radius point bears South
39°58'04" West 2392.01 feet which has a central angle of
13°56'34", a radius of 2392.01 feet, a tangent distance of
292.01 feet and an arc length of 582 09 feet,
THENCE Northwesterly along said northeast boundary line of
South Padre Island Drive with said circular curve to the
left, 582.09 feet to the point of tangency,
THENCE North 53°58'30" West with the abovementioned
northeast boundary line, 505.47 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING.
The above described area
shall hereafter be a part of the City of
Corpus Christi, Texas, and shallbe subject to the general laws of the State of
Texas, the City Charter, and the ordinances, resolutions, motions, laws, rules
and regulations of the City of Corpus Christi, to all intents and purposes as
the present City of Corpus Christi is so subject, and subject to all the rights,
privileges and burdens thereof.
SECTION 2 If for any reason
any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid o
unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent ,jurisdiction, it
shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
rd or provision of this ordinance, for itisthe definite intent of this
City Council that every section, paragraph, sbdivision, clause, phrase, word
or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient and effective administration of City affairs by annexing the
heretofore described tract of land at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or esolutions at three
regular
meetings so that this ordinance

agree to comply with all provisions of the Platting
Ordinance,
2 The City agrees to commence provision of fire, police, health,

and other usual city services after the effective
date ofrannexation,
3 The City agrees to accept sewer, street and drainage facilities
after construction by onner according to City Platting Ordinance
standards and agrees to maintain such facilities thereafter
It is further agreed that all of the above conditions shall be
binding upon the successors and assigns of the said Owner and each
of then, and shall constitute covenants running with the land
