CLOSING AND ABANDONING ENNIS JOSLIN ROAD FROM McARDLE ROAD
TO SOUTH PADRE ISLAND DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR ALL UTILITIES
BEING REMOVED.
WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for holding a hearing concerning
the closing of Ennis Joslin Road from McArdle Road to South Padre Island Drive,
as given by publication and mailed to the last known addresses of the owners of
property abutting the public way and within 450 feet of the area proposed to be
closed, and thereafter, pursuant to said notice, public hearing was held at
Regular Council Meeting by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi on
January 15, 1985, in accordance with the provisions of the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council after such hearing that
the aforesaid portion of right-of-way, proposed to be closed, is not needed now,
nor will they be within the foreseeable future needed as public rights of way,
and that the same should revert to the abutting property owners, subJect to
certain specified conditions:

NOWI,TE THEREFORE,%AS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SECTION 1 That there is hereby closed and abandoned Ennis Jos11n
Road from McArdle Road to South Padre Island Drive, being an 80 -foot wide
right-of-way with closure area containing 1 671 acres
or less, as shown by
plat in Volume A, Pages 41-43, Map Records, NuecesCounty, Texas, and described
by the metes and bounds which are attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked
Exhibit "0", providing for all utilities being removed with other obligations of
City and abutting owner being established in a certain agreement approved by the
City Council by Motion No. N84-1284 on December 18, 1984.

BEING a tract of land out of Lots 4 and 5, Section 28, Flour. Bluff 6 Encinal
Farm 6 Garden Tracts, shorm by Plat rn Volume A, Pages 41-43, Map Records,
Nueces County, Texas, and descrIbed by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point being the North corner of said Lot 5, also being a
point on the existing centerline of 80 foot wrde Ennis Toslin Road,
THENCE N 61°02. W, 56 54 feet to a point,
THENCE 5 16°03. E, 31 87 feet to the point of begrnning of this tract,
THENCE S 16°03. E, 428 19 feet to a pornt on the arc of a circular curve to
the right, barns the easterly right of may of said Ennrs Joslin Road,
THENCE along the aro of said curve whose Central Angle . 23°51'2, Radius
4 1184.82 feet, Tangent 250.31 feet, a distance of 493 36 feet to the
point of tangency;
THENCE S 28056. W, 296 38 feet to a pornt on the northerly right of way of
S. Padre Island Drive,
THENCE N 63.26.30n W, along said right of way, 80.06 feet to a point,
THENCE N 28056' E, 299.98 feet to the point of curvature of a circular
curve to the left,
THENCE along the arc Of curve whose Central Angle . 45°01.509, radius
4 1104.82 feet, Tangent 4 457 98 feet a distance of 868 31 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 1 671 acres, more or less
