AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH LERMA COMPANY
AND ASSOCIATES FOR THE SITE DEVELOPMENT OF ACUSHNET,
BROCKDALE, OVERLAND MEADOWS, PARKVIEW AND SANDS PARKS,
APPROPRIATING 1310,000; ANO DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS.
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with Lepra Company and Associates for the site development of Acushnet,
Brookdale, Overland Meadows, Parkview and Sands Parks, all as re fully set
forth in the plans and specifications and contract documents on file in the
office of the City Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference
and according to the bid of Lerma Company and Associates, said bad being the
lowest and most advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there 15 hereby appropriated 5265,000 from the
No. 291 Park Bond Fund and $45,000 from the Na. 111 Park Trust Fund.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take
immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the
construction of public improvements, such finding of an mergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or
resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance
is passed and shalltake effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this
the 5th day of February, 1985.
