AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER N0. 1 TO THE
RUNWAY 17-35 DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS AND SURFACE CORRECTIONS
PROJECT TO PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A 004000RING
SYSTEM, APPROPRIATING $4,000, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS
SECTION 1. That the City Manager as hereby authorized to execute
Change Corrections Projectl to to provedeR fora the l-35 in talllationeofImprovements dewatering and Surface
system, all
as set forth in the change order, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto
and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "0"
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $4,000 from the No. 245
Airport Bond Fund.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need of
executing the abovementIoned change order at theearliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency Is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consIderation and voting upon ordinances or solutions at three
regular meetings so that this ordinance as passed and shall take effect upon
first reading as an emergency measure this the 19th day of February, 1985

Why was this change necessary, (If left off the plans and specifications, explain why.)
To devise a permanent solution to remove trapped water from Runway 17-35 culvert crossing.
Now can similar changes be avoided in the future, more thorough Investigation
