AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE
ACQUISITION OF PARCEL 13 IN CONNECTION WITH THE PURDUE ROAD
STREET IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE II PROJECT, APPROPRIATING
$825.00; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
8E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to execute the
documents necessary for the acquisition of Parcel 13 i connection with the
Purdue Road Street Improvements, Phase II Project. a substantial copy of which
is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit .0 "
SECTION 2 That there is hereby appropriated $825.00 out of the
Street Bond Fund
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take
mediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the
purchase of landnsary for the abovementioned Purdue Road Street
Improvements, Phase Ile Project, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
pan ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance
is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this
the 26th day of February, 1985.

veyed and by these presente do grane and convey unto the City

tion duly incorporated under and by virtue of the laws of the
state of Texas, its successors and legal rePreeentatives, ehe
free and uninterrupted use, liberty, privilege, and easement
of going in, on, over, under and along a certain tract of land
situated in Nueces County, Texas, and being described as
follows
Being an irregular shaped tract oue of and along the
north boundary of Lot L, Block 2, Homedale Addition
Units 1 and 2, recorded in Nueees County Map Re-
cords, Volume 17, Page 4, more completely described
as follows
Beginning at the north corner of said Lot 1,
Thence S. 61° E., 70 feet to the northeast corner
of said Lot 1,
Thence S. 29. W., 20 feet along the west r.o.w.
of Luzius Drive, •
Thence northerly, 15.71 feet along a curve concave
to the west, having an initial bearing of N. 29°
E., a radius of 10 feet, and an internal. angle of

end containing 0166 acres, more or less.

To.ther with the free ingress, egreSs, and regress to and
for the City of Corpus Christi, for the purpose of constructing
streete, sidewalke, curbs, gutters and appurtenances upon said
tract and way for the public use by foot, with automobiles,
carts, carriages, and all other vehicles and all other means of
transportation necessary or convenient at all times and in all
seasons in, along, and upon said tract and way, as well as for
laying, repairing, servicing, and maintaining of public utility
lines and storm sewers in, on, over, under, and along eaid
tract or way.
TO IUXE AND TO HOLD, all and singular, the righes and
privileges aforesaid to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, its
successors and legal representatives and the public, for the
proper use as public streets and utility easements or utility
easements for so long as used for suet] purposes or any of them,
a. if the use for said tract and way for all of said uses be
ever abandoned, then in that event, the aforesaid rights and
privileges shall cease, and all rights herein granted shalt
revert to the Grantor herein, his heirs or assigns.
