AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH A. ORTIZ
CONSTRUCTION AND PAVING FOR RIVERVIEW TRAIL STREET
IMPROVEMENTS; APPROPRIATING 0160,000, AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS
SECTION 1. that the City Manager is hereby authorized to ax ecute a
contract with A. Ortiz Construction and Paving for Riverview Trailstreet
improvements, all as more fully set forth in the plans and specifications and
contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which are
made a part hereof by reference and ascording to the bid of A Ortiz
Construction and Paving, said bid being the lowest and most advantageous to the
City of Carpus Christi
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated 0160,000 from the
No 220 Street Band Fund.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take
immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the
construction of public improvements, such finding of a emergency i made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or
resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance
s passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this
the 5th day of March, 1985.
