YOUNG COMPANY FOR THE REHABILITATION OF THE BROADWAY WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT AND AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT ON THE CONTRACT OF 179,019.72, AMENDING THE ENGINEERING CONTRACT WITH ETHERIDGE ENGINEERING, INC. TO INCREASE THE RESIDENT INSPECTION SERVICES FEE FROM $40,000 TO $70,500, APPROPRIATING $101,5001 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C0UNC1L OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute Change Order Nos. 12 and 14 to the construction contract with W. T Young Company for the rehabilitation of the Broadway Wastewater Treatment Plant and authorizing final payment on the contract of $79,019.72, all as e fully set forth in the change orders, substantial copies of which are attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A" and "B". SECTION 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an aomndment to the engineering contract with Etheridge Engineering, Inc to increase the Resident Inspection Services fee from 140.000 to $70,500, all as e fully set forth in the amendment, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto and rade a part hereof, marked Exhibit "C". SECTION 3. That there as hereby appropriated $101,500 from Protect No. 250-77-72 to cover payment of final construction and engineering fees. SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare anemergency due to the need of executing the abovementioned change orders at the earliest practicable date. such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 5th day of March, 1985.
