AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $167,958.37 TO REIMBURSE THE GAS FUND FOR THE
RELOCATION OF GAS LINES AND SERVICES RENDERED TO THE GEORGE
EVANS STREET DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated 9167,958.37 out of No. 162
Federal and State Grants Fund, Department 152, Activity 501.06, Code 502, to
reimburse Gas Fund 106-000-362 81 000 for the relocation of gas lanes and
servaces rendered to the George Evans Street Development pro3ects pursuant to
approved Eighth Year Community Development Block Grant street and drainage
improvements.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to
appropriate the abovementioned funds at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or esolutions at three
regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon
first reading as an emergency measure this the 5th day of March, 1985.
