HomeMy WebLinkAbout18739 ORD - 03/05/19851.065.04 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF WARD THOMAS BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO LOTS 27, 28, 29 AND 30, BLOCK 1003, FITCHUE PLACE FROM "AB" PROFESSIONAL OFFICE DISTRICT AND "8-2" APARTMENT HOUSE 01STRICT TO "B-4" GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT. AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of Ward Thomas for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi. WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all person wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Tuesday, March 5th, 1985, at Regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi, and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carred, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best srve public health, n en necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens. MOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS' 5ECT10N 1. That the Zoning Ordinance Of the 0108 0' Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning on Lots 27, 28, 29, and 30, Block 1003, F1tchue Place in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be changed from "AB" Professional Office District and "8-2" Apartment House District to "8-4" General Business District. SECTION 3 That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Carpus Christi, Texas, approved an the 27th day of August, 1973, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. 18739 MICROFILMED 1.065.04 SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs bygranting the aforesaid z ning change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 5th day of March, 1985 ATTEST.
