CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE CITY MANAGER, PURSUANT TO THE
CITY CHARTER, ARTICLE III, SECTION 3, OF CARLOS ARAUZ, AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY
BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS
SECTION 1. That the appointment of Carlos Arauz to the position
of Director of Personnel and Labor Relations by the City Manager. pursuant
to the City Charter, Article III, Section 3, is hereby confirmed
SECTION 2 That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need
for efficient administration of City affairs by making the appointment a
aforesaid, such finding of an mergency is made and declared requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances
or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this resolution is passed
and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this 19th
day of March, 1985

For the reasonsset forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or solutions at three
regular meetings, 1/0e, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
