AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 18072 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 IN ORDER
TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS
ON THE FOLLOWING STREETS.
Bowie and Crockett Streets and Larcade Drive
1. Bowie Street, from Sokol Drive approximately 700 feet
southerly to Deadend,
2. Crockett Street, from Sokol Drive approximately 700
feet southerly to Deadend, and
3. Larcade Drive, from South Padre Island Drive southerly
487 linear feet to existing improvements in Ventura
Plaza Subdivision;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 18072, passed and approved February 8.
1984, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final asment roll
ess
and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the assessment
streets
Bowie and Crockett Streets and Larcade Drive
1 Bowie Street, from Sokol Drive approximately 700 feet
southerly to Deadend,
2. Crockett Street, from Sokol Drive approximately 700
feet southerly to Deadend, and
3 Larcade Drive, from South Padre Island Drive southerly
487 linear feet to existing improvements in Ventura
Plaza Subdivision,
substantial copy of which assessment role 1s attached hereto and made a part
hereof, marked Exhibit W.
SECTI0N 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the adoption of the
final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is
made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration
and voting upon ordinancesor an
r esolutaons at three regular meetSs so that this
ordinance is passed and shalltake effect upon first reading a an emergency
measure this the 2nd day of April, 1985

BOWIE .9 CROCKETT STREETS AND LARCADE DRIVE
STALEY EMPROVENENTS
This proTect u111 include improvements to the following streets
1. Bowie Street, from Sokol Drive to Deadend,
2. Crockett Street, from Sokol Drive to Deadend, and
3. Larcade Drive. from South Padre Island Drive Southwesterly 487 Linear
Feet to the Existing Improvements in Ventura Plaza Subdivision.
These streets shall be constructed by excavation to a width and depth to permit the
layieg of a standard 6" curb and gutter section, 6" compacted subgrade, 8" compeeted
base and Me' Type "0" Hot Mix Asphaltic pavement. Streets will be 28' wide within
the existing right-of-way. There will be 4' wide reinforced concrete sidewalk and
6" thick reinforced concrete drivenays as shown on the plans.
The 22251 2525& have been calculated 02 27702512 with the latest paving
policy adopted by the City Based on this policy and low bid prices submitted by
Maverick Construction Company, the assessment rates are as follows:
