AN ORDINANCE
AMENDI110 ORDINANCE N0. 17754 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 IN ORDER
TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS
ON THE FOLLOWING STREETS
1. U S. Highway 77 Frontage Roads, from 2,000 feet south
f F M 624 to 2,600 feet north of F.M. 624,
2. F.M. 624, 400 feet westerly from U 5 Highway 77,
3. Up River Road, from U.S. Highway 77 to Hearn Road,
and
4. Hearn Road, from Up River Road to Hearn Road
cul-de-sac,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No 17754, passed and approved August 3,
1983, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll
and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the following
streets.
1. U S. Highway 77 Frontage Roads, from 2,000 feet south
f F.M. 624 to 2,600 feet north of F.M. 624,
2. F.M. 624, 400 feet westerly from U.S. Highway 77;
3. Up River Road, from U.S. Highway 77 to Hearn Road,
and
4. Hearn Road, from Up River Road to Hearn Road
cul-de-sac,
substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, marked Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2 That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
m bers, cony attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the adoption of the
final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is
made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration
and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this
ordinance is passed and shalltake effect upon first reading as an emergency

This project includes improvements to the fallowing streets
1. U.S. Highway 17 Frontage Roads, from 2,000 feet south of F.M 634

3. Up River Road, from U.S. Highway 27 to Hearn Road, and
4. Hearn Road, from Up River Road to the Hearn Road Cul -de -Sac.
The impr shall consist of east and west frontage roads along U.S. High-
way 77 within the described limits. These roadways shall be constructed to
width of 35 feet with an 8" lime treated subgrade, 28" flexible base and a114'.
