AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 18054 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 IN ORDER
TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS
ON THE FOLLOWING STREETS.
Dalra,da. Hollywood Terrace and Sherman
Street Improvements and Mokry Drive Sidewalks
I Dalratda Street. from Carroll Lane to Dakin Place,
2. Nollywood Terrace, from Gollihar Road to Horne Road,
3. Sherman Street, from Prescott Street to Vestal Street,
and
4. Mokry Drive, sidewalks only, from McArdle Road to South
Padre Island Drive,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEAS.
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 18054, passed and approved January 25,
1984, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adapt the final assessment roll
ess
and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the following
streets.
Dalra,da, Hollywood Terrace and Sherman
Street Improvements and Mokry Drive Sidewalks
1 Dalratda Street, from Carroll Lane to Dakin Place,
2. Hollywood Terrace, from Gollihar Road to Horne Road,
3. Sherman Street, from Prescott Street to Vestal Street,
and
Mokry Drive, sidewalks only, from McArdle Road to South
Padre Island Drive,
substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a

SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five
Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the
need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the
adoption of the final, corrected assessment ss ment r 11 as aforesaid, such finding

of emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter

to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three

FINAL ASSESS/MT ROLL
DALRAIDA, HOLLYWOOD TERRACE, SEEMAN
STREET IMPROVEMMITS AND EMU ORTVE SIDEWALKS
This project will include improvements to the following streets:
1. Dalraida Street, from Carroll Lane to °akin Place.
2. Hollywood Terrace, from Collibar Road to Horne Road,
3. Sherman Street, from Prescott Street to Vestal Street, and
4. Mokry Drive, sidewalks only, from McArdle Road to South
Padre Island Drive.
These streets shall be constructed by excavation to a width and depth to permit
the laying of a standard 6" curb and gutter section, 6" compacted subgrade. 8''
compacted base and ly, Type "D" Uot Mix Asphaltic pavement. Streets are to be
28' wide within the existing right-of-way. There will be 4' and 5' wide rein-
forced concrete sidewalks and 6" thick reinforced driveways as shown on the
plans. The sidewalk on Mckry Drive will be 4' wide constructed l' from the
property line ulthin the right-of-way.
The assessment rates have been calculated in accordance with the latest pa.lag
policy adopted by the City. Based on this pol1cy and low bid price. ...matted
by Maverick Construction Company, the assessment rates are as follows:
