HomeMy WebLinkAbout18773 ORD - 04/02/1985TEXAS 01.,118.01, AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCELS 20a AND lob IN CONNECTION WITH THE PURDUE ROAD STREET IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE II PROJECT; APPROPRIATING $15,000; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to execute the documents necessary far the acquisition of Parcels 20a and 20b in connection with the Purdue Road Street Improvements, Phase II protect, substantial copies of which are attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibits "A" and SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $15,000 out of the Street Bond Fund. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the purchase of land necessary for the abovementioned Purdue Road Street Improvements, Phase I1 prouect, such finding of anemergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 2nd day of April, 1985 ATTEST.
