APPROPRIATING $53,000 OUT OF NO 162-152-807.05, SEVENTH
YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FOR CHANGE ORDER
N0. 3 PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PARKING LOT IN THE
SOUTHWEST CORNER OF HERITAGE PARK, AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS
SECTION 1. Therei hereby appropriated $53,000 out of
No. 162-152-807 05, Seventh Year Community Development Block Grant, Economic
Development/Parking, for Change Order No. 3 to the Salazar Construction Company
contract for the Multicultural Center, which change order provides for the
construction of a parking lot in the southwest corner of Heritage Park.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an mergency due to the need to
appropriate the abovementioned funds at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency 1s made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon
first reading as an emergency measure this the 9th day of April, 1985
