HomeMy WebLinkAbout18812 ORD - 04/30/1985TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CIVIL SERVICE BOARD RULES AND REGULATIONS, ARTICLE IV, SECTION 5, TO ADD PARAGRAPH 33 WITH REFERENCE TO THE VIOLATION OF RULES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SAFETY AND RISK MANAGEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the Civil Service Board Rules and Regulations, Article IV, Section 5, is hereby amended by adding Paragraph 33 to read as follows: 33. Violation of any published safety rule promulgated or approved by the Department of Safety and Risk Management. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for the efficient administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 30th day of April, 1985.
